Highwoods Project

We met Susan and Alistair in the Summer of 2022 as they were considering whether or not to knock through into the Dining area or keep the Kitchen space as it currently was. We explored both options and decided that keeping the Kitchen in the current space was the best solution for them.

On our first Design Consultation, we discussed what works for them in how they used their old Kitchen. We focused on the aspects that made using their old Kitchen problematic and how we can eradicate these points in the new design. One being that the size of the current oven was too small so we chose a large Range Cooker with Induction Hob. We came up with a solution to stack the Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer in a tall larder by the entrance so as to gain the cupboard space on base level. The client wanted a Modern, easy to clean Kitchen so we quickly settled on a painted slab door with a small handle which would be hidden by the overhang of the Worktop.

Once a design had been settled, colours chosen and the finer inner details decided on, the manufacturing process began. As the clients view was that the room was relatively small, they were astonished to see how big our delivery to them was and asked us ‘are you sure this is our Kitchen?!’ It certainly was their Kitchen which just shows how many components are included in a new Kitchen, no matter the size!

The whole process working with Susan and Alistair was a joy from start to finish, and we are glad to say that they feel the same! A sleek, modern Kitchen has been created which now works alot better with their lifestyle.
