We contacted Matthew and Kim via their Instagram account which was set up to document the renovation of their new home for their family of 3. Due to our first contact being in the height of the Covid Pandemic, our first meeting was over a zoom call to discuss exactly what was required in the space, the appliances that they needed and any design criteria they had. We then went away and began to design the space as per our clients specification and the architects plans for the proposed side extension.
Once we had a basic layout for the space, we were then able to arrange a meeting to show them around the factory and explain the manufacturing process as well as showing samples of doors, draws, colour charts and worktops. We discussed what needed tweaking on the design to achieve what we have today. This included adding in glass to the wall unit doors, two toned colours and an open plate rack above the sink.
Our client decided on our Chorleywood Traditional range painted in Onyx Grey with an added contrast of Bright White on the wall units. They also opted for a contrasting material on the worktop, Solid Oak in the Island with White Carrara Quartz on the Sink run. These choices on the contrasting colours and materials create a real sense of depth and intricacy to the design!
We were able to create a design that ticked all of our clients boxes for both wants and needs. Installed by our Heart Of Home Designs fitters, the end product is something we are so proud of but most importantly, a Kitchen that our client is in love with! We look forward to returning to create wardrobes for their master bedroom!
